Midsummer

Age Group: Adult
The longest day has now arrived,
The Sun is at it's zenith.
The Earth responds to all His power,
With nature's fertility abundant.
The Two embrace, creating life,
Knowing His power shall soon wane;
As the days will soon grow shorter--
The summer now begins.
So we celebrate the union,
Of the Goddess and the God.
Giving thanks for fruitfull blessings,
Descending from the All.
Mother Earth and Father Sun,
Without, would be no life.
As the Sun transforms the Earth,
So we transform the light.
Changing shadows within our souls,
And pruning out the weeds.
Nurturing our spiritual gardens,
And tending to our needs.
Seeking balance within ourselves,
Heeding lessons learned.
Evolving slowly, day by day,
As the circle turns.
Growing seedlings, goals we've planted,
Things in need of change.
Discarding what's no longer wanted,
Casting aff all pain.
Thanks I give for all I have,
Blessings large and small.
For love and home and family,
And Spirit's gentle call.
For warm sunshine and fragrant breeze,
Bare feet upon soft grass.
For bright sunsets that soothe my soul,
And nights that calmly pass.
