Elemental Greetings

I greet the East, the sun's bright rays,
That warm the earth below.
I greet the wind that whispers by,
Singing soft and low.
I greet the South, so red and warm,
Bringing change to me.
I greet the Fire that brightly burns,
Helping me to see.
I greet the West and ocean blue,
Blood of the Mother Earth.
I greet the water's tranquil tides,
And streamlets burbling mirth.
I greet the North, and mountains green,
Strength to me they lend.
I greet the Earth and all She holds,
Prosperity to me send.
