Summer

Age Group: Adult
Summer days drift slowly by,
Clouds all fluffy white.
Buzzing insects, fields of green,
Crops are gaining height.
Dandelions nod their yellow heads,
Sunflowers in full bloom.
Scent of lavender in the air,
Nature's sweet perfume.
Sparkling motes in sunlight dance,
Swirling all around.
Dragonflies at the water's edge,
Irridescent on the ground.
Dewdrops on the grass at dawn,
And spider's lacy webs.
Pheasants call in twilight's gloom,
Sunsets orange and red.
Summer's moon so brightly shines,
Stars come out to play.
Crickets sing their nightly song,
Bidding farewell to the day.
