Mabon

Age Group: Adult
Day and night, the Sun and Moon,
Lord and Lady of the All.
Tonight we celebrate success,
And summer turning into fall.
Contemplate what we've achieved
O'er the previous year.
Giving thanks for what we've learned,
And Soul's Harvest cleared.
The Lady's growing old and wise,
And counsels all to rest.
She whispers gently in our ear,
To guide us on Life's Quest.
The Lord, He stands upon the edge,
Balanced 'tween day and night.
To the shadows He'll descend,
With the lessening light.
And to the Goddess, He'll be reborn,
When the Circle turns to Yule.
Birth and death and birth again,
Life's lessons learned anew.
We offer up a sacrifice
Of things we do not need.
We cast away what has not worked,
In hearts and minds and deeds.
Thanks we give for all we have,
For hearth and home and love.
For quiet strength that fills our souls,
And blessings from above.
