Morning Devotions to Brighid

"Morning Devotions to Brighid"
Blessed Lady Brighid,
I remind myself again
Though I face a difficult day,
I am not alone.
I always have You and Your eternal love
To comfort me.
You walk with me and sit with me throughout the day,
Guiding my decisions and illuminating my path.
I bless You and thank you for this, Dear Lady.
I praise Your goodness and devotion
To those who love and follow You.
Yet, do not let me forget
That it is not You who serves me,
But I that serve You.
Help me to live my day as the sort of child
A mother could be proud to call her own.
I wish to honor You by being
The best person I can be
All throughout this day.
Bring me safely, at day's end,
To where the Spirit of Home Love dwells.

Author's Notes: I use this often by simply lighting a white tea light candle, reciting the devotion, then letting the candle burn out. Every time you light a candle, you can simply say (or think) : Blessed Brighid, this flame is to honor You". This way, you are honoring Brighid and her sacred flame easily and without being noticed by others. You can follow the path less traveled by using simple things like lighting a candle to work Craft into your day. Rituals with all the bells and whistles are not always necessary. The simpler you can make things, the easier it is to practice your beliefs.
