Bard's Song

Age Group: Adult
I have wandered near and far
Looked to the seas and to the stars,
I have walked forbidden trails
And listened to the forbidden tales -
Tales that speak of magic still
And warriors with an iron will,
Songs of valour truth and glory
I have heard of such a story,
I have fought the greatest fight
To bring about the greatest light,
To end all ignorance and fear
To spread the message far and near,
Not everything is as it seems
Perhaps what's real is in fact a dream,
So listen hard and listen well
To these stories which I tell,
A lesson learned is not hard to keep,
If that lesson learned is buried deep.
Listen now, hearken well,
Forbidden stories now I tell.
Author's Notes: This came to me while doing some artwork, and so I naturally put aside the sketchpad and typed it in. Dutiful as always.
