A Stand Against Darkness

Looking over the battlefield, pain in his heart, so much death. So much blood. The darkness had no remorse, no pity, just blood lust, why had it come, what did it want. Many good and loving warriors had died on the field that I gazed down on. Turning at the touch of a hand. He knows who is beside him. Looking into her lovely eyes, seeing her love for him. He promises to himself that she will not fight. Looking down along her lovely body he reminds himself that she is fat with child, but she is still his trusted war master. A woman who has saved his life many times, as many has he has saved hers. They both ware black, customary for warriors of there rank. She is with child, lovely greenish-blue eyes, and long dark hair. He, in his right hand a battle staff, long and strong. As tall as his is, made of the finest steel, a gold rod in it’s center. Covering his hand where he holds it, a shield. On it’s peek a sphere made of glowing crystal. With wings of gold holding it. On his head, a crown, made of gold and silver, with a crystal held over the center of his forehead. On his left side, held at the belt, a sword made of the finest steel, in its hilt another glowing crystal. And finely on his left had a band holding a crystal on the center of the back of his hand. Looking down again over the battlefield, his heart breaks, his people are dieing, the darkness just will not stop. What do they want from this world?
On the battlefield, his beloved and his unborn child banished to the farthest reaches of this world, to protect them. Fighting for his world, and his love, sword and staff in hand. This last battle will banish them for good. It will be his world again, he will rebuild it bigger and better. Blood of the dark leader on his blade, his is struck down. The last thing he sees is his own blood, his last thought is for his love, and the knowledge that they’re gone from this world forever.
