forbidden sweetness

Petals bloom
without taking seed
Rooted limbs
hang in suspension
Breached leaves strive
to touch the sun
To be singed by regret
holding back gripping wounds
To search light
is to find cold finality
Circled inside
a crumbling temple
I hold myself
to your vision
I nurture a memory
that never exhisted
I lost all color to a delight
of forbidden sweetness
