Lover's Leap

To Picture... To be
Keep for eternity
To taste... To touch
Feeling the warm rush
To love... To embrace
Visions hold thy face
Mending the cracks, set in by time
Breaking loose the choking vine
Cutting through the dusty heat
Finding way to lover's leap
Grasping chasm, I tame the sorrow
For I will unite within the morrow
Letting go the liquid shame
Piercing slice quickly maims
Air surrounds wizzing by
As I plunge, I aim to fly
Author's Notes: A different dirrection from which the poem was intended...funny how creativity meanders! I was stuck and then all of the sudden I was reminded of a place that resides in the state of Ok. named Lover's Leap. I visited this place as a child and it stuck with me all this time. The urban legend or story was two lover's jumped to their death, for their love as a forbidden one.
