Goddess of Darkness

Hidden in darkness
deep under the earth,
where unseen things
of untold worth,
Employ their talents
to initiates above.
Commanded by you
through sacred love.
Goddess of darkness
goddess of light,
Woman of women
come forth to night!
Goddess of the Astral
silver-blue glow,
Come forth to this servant
from the depths below.
I hear your bells ringing,
the howls of thy dogs,
The distant beckonging
calls of your frogs.
Scented with Amber,
covered with dew,
Center thyself
within me anew.
Blue is your garnement,
silver is your belt,
Soft as cats paws
your presence is felt.
In the hush, and the quiet
you make yourself known,
Only to those who have chosen.
You, for their own.
The color of your hair
hanging long in loose rings,
Has the iridesent glisten
of the black raven's wings.
Pale is your skin
from lack of sun
Cream is its color,
oh beautiful one.
Woman eternal,
three-fold being,
Bejeweled with gems
such as no mortal has seen.
Bringer of fortune,
carrier of the light,
Goddess of darkness
goddess of night!
Hail Hecate!
woman of night,
Combine your spirit
with mine tonight.
Stand in my circle
with me, as one,
Until our work here
this night is done.
