My bold soldier boy
Will be coming home soon

There is no telling where he might be

In case he is coming back home to me

It eases the ache in my heart
As the battles rage on
Please, please leave a light on
Leave a light on
Those who watch over the dead
Know to leave a light on
For the dying the darkness holds dread
So we'll leave a light on
Leave a light on
For the sweetheart who'll never come home
I'll leave the light on...
Author's Notes: I wrote this while in Wales last fall and it was just one of those things that made me feel just a little homesick.
