Calloused hands -Soft heart

Calloused hands - Soft heart
You've been a blessing to this world
from the very start.
You were born during rough times,
Never the less,
with a heart so kind.
When you were a young man
you met your wife.
You started a family
& life shone bright.
Tragedy stuck to such good man,
You've told me "'Our Hell is during times on this Earth."
Dad I understand.
On August 11th, 1970,
I met my protector & guide,
Your my Father & I'm proud to stand by your side.
Your 3 Daughters, added on to your Majestic Clan.
When your Grandchild were given life,
it was all part of Heavens plan.
Dad - For you the Heavens will open
& the Stars will align.
I will always know that the 1st great gift in my life
is when God chose you to be this little,
helpless girls Dad.
Calloused Hands - Soft Heart
You've been a blessing to this world
from the very start.
Author's Notes: To the most giving, caring man I know
He lost his only son in August of 1969
& in August of 1970 adopted a new born
little girl. Some might say I was unwanted,
Fate just found a way to return me to my Dad.
