Ancient Healers, Modern Mothers

Ancient Healers, Modern Mothers.
Some were called whores, some were called lovers.
The gifts of these woman, not all could see,
how different were they from you & me?
We both can sooth with the touch of our hands,
this gift is ours in every land.
We both carry children & give them life.
We've both seen our share of elation's & strife.
As it was then, some women now still have to hide their face.
When did being a woman become such a complete
disgrace?
Young or old. Rich are poor.
We all have known at times that we are adored.
In the bedroom, we all have pleased,
although short lived our pain was eased.
Some love us curvy, others prefer thin,
but please judge us for whats within.
We have known love & oh how we've known hate.
In the end, Its the male heart we sedate.
