Without you here

Crystaline tears cradles my memories of you.
Snowflakes fall to the deadened ground.
Salt rings the earth where you lay.
I see the sun; I see the moon.
Yet, you are nowhere to be found.
Will I be with you again someday?
Your strength as fragile as the sweetest flower
Your love as soft as rain.
Your wisdom rooted deep within my earth
washed away I stand admixed spring showers
Hoping you come again
Without the pain of shuddered rebirth.
Seeds lay barren, no longer able to spring forth life
Empty memories of what could be
Clinging to the sand of yester year
Crooning ever so softly "Why, Oh Why?"
Holding your vision tenderly.
Wishing, hoping you could be here.
The vast depth of our hearts lay still
As we stand starring into rippled reflections
The void rips right through
Of pain and loss we've had our fill
Looking to the deepest ocean
Of our tears we shed for you.
Author's Notes: In loving memory of my Aunt Tweety, who was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, foster parent, volunteer, and so much more. We all love you and miss you. She left us on February 6th, 2007 at the age of 52.
