The Turning Wheel

by Lord Shining Starr

Age Group: Adult

The Turning Wheel

Beautiful Goddess fair and young,
New to the world and sweet of tongue,
Explore your world, in wondrous delight,
As soon you shall be the guardian of night.

Morning comes to this day,
As a lantern to light your way,
You start the path upon the maze,
Leaving all who see you in a daze.

You hear his music, you hear his rhyme,
And so your feet do march in time,
Dancing now with his tune,
And knowing that you’ll see him soon.

Arriving now at his place,
And staring at his handsome face,
He wears antlers like a crown,
And is an animal from the waist down.

At his lips are his pipes,
Playing them for your delight,
As the day goes on you do play,
Enticing each other for that is your way.

Upon mid morning, you feel the rise,
For he then unveils his disguise,
Threw the awakening of the day,
You began to move his way.

Threw the pain and the caress,
You come together for nature’s test,
For something awakens in the light,
A fiery passion into the night.

Alone now while he moves away,
Threw the maze unto the day.
For high noon comes to reveal his might,
‘Cause for you now he will fight.

As the sun begins to fall,
You stand by him threw it all,
In yourself, he grows once more,
Waiting for you to adore.

He now turns from beast and man,
Unto the leafy green of land,
And fruits began to blossom threw,
His decent away from you.

“I promise to return to you, ”
He says with love while looking blue,
“Remember, that you are always free,
For inside of you, you’ll find me.”

You look upon him with your tears,
And remember all his songs and jeers,
You feel the inner fire light,
As he descends into the night.

And now you stand all alone,
But feel safe upon his throne,
To rule the Wise in every way,
In the twilight of the day.

As so the time doth come again,
You feel with in you all the pain,
And as you lie he comes forth,
From within with all his warmth.

But while the young do dance and play,
You become a mother upon that day,
You watch him close, you hold him tight,
As is a mother’s right.

But before he goes into the maze,
You follow his wondrous gaze,
And there upon the throne it is,
The pipes once played within the mists.

With a smile, you give them unto his hand,
And he begins to play them for the land,
And off he goes now from your sight,
To play in the maze and play in the light,

Alone now in that place,
You long to see his handsome face,
You hear the music far away,
Like when you first came out to play.

And when the music slows and stops,
And once again doth grows the crops,
As you sit upon your throne,
You realize now you are the Crone.

And now the day turns into night,
In the distance, you hear the rite,
You light a lantern and you rise,
For all your struggles, this is your prize.

You leave the maze, with lantern bright,
And staff in hand into the night,
So, now you know the mysteries of time,
The same ones found within his rhyme.

Down the path you find the gate,
Marked by all, as is fate,
You step threw into a land,
Where you are Maiden once again.

Author's Notes: I was at work one day, and this came to me. I could not stop writing it until it was finished, between calls at work, I got the first couple of verses done, and got home, and could not stop writing, until I was finished, I mean I completely forgot about everything. The time being the most important. I lost three hours of sleep, as this beautiful work came to me, threw divine inspiration.

If you are ever interested in reading more of my work, or if you have any coments on this piece, or any other piece I post on here, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks, and blessings,
Lord Shining Starr
