I saw in me...

Age Group: Adult
I saw a spider,
in my room,
and knew it was the Goddess,
spinning at her loom.
I heard thunder,
in the sky,
and knew it was the God,
sending a war cry.
I felt the dirt,
beneath my feet;
it was my soul and nature
coming together to meet.
I saw on the horison
the rising sun
and knew that
a new day had just begun.
I saw the moon
rise at neen
and knew day's death
would take over soon.
I looked in the mirror
and saw in me
every trace
of divinity.
Author's Notes: This I wrote when I was feeling particularly religious. I wrote it about the same time as "Dare".
