Listening.
Just listening
To the hum of machines
And their strange whirrings,
To the beat of your heart,
Listening for the mark.
Swallowed in sound,
It's so deep, I could drown.
All the mirrors in life,
Recognizing what's right.
In these deep dark halls
How many of us will fall?
Pick yourself up,
You need to wake up.
You can't always be free,
So stop worryinging.
I'm fine. Sorry.
Forgive me.
I couldn't pick you up;
I tried, but I was stuck.
All of these things
Rip apart our wings
Like they're nothing
So stop worrying.
Here in the dark,
hearing the mark,
I can look, I can see,
Now we both can be free.
Gone forever, we disappered;
It's nothing like what you feared.
We belong, here and now,
Fly away, take a bow.
Remember your dreams;
Lover your sweet wanderings,
This is freedom
In a strange kingdom.
I'll help you fly away,
Just show me the way.
In the moonlit night,
You take your sweet flight.
The stars shone;
Now I'm alone.
Under the stars,
We destroy our scars.
We run away
From all the dismay.
We escape together.
Forever.
Dancing under a tree,
We laugh, 'cause we're free,
And we're here
Without any fear.
With no need to hide,
We let go of our pride.
Singing under the sun,
We laugh and we run.
A new life.
We're paid our price.
We can't say "never, "
Only "forever."
Wanting our love,
Want to push, want to shove,
Selfishly loving,
Can't stop worryinging.
We're listening.
Just listening.
