Winter Solstice Eve

The Moon shines brightly on the glistening snow.
But, for Her light, all is darkness below.
From Equinox forward the Darkness has grown
The land lies cold, no seeds can be sown.
All wait in hope on this long cold dark night,
Hope for the dawn and the Sun's new born light.
For all know this time marks the Sun King's rebirth
And with it, once more, will come life to the Earth.
Growing in strength, shining longer each day,
Warming the Earth, lighting the Crone/Maiden's way.
So we gather this night to laugh and to sing,
Lighting candles with Love for the soon-coming King.
Celebratiing as one in joy and in mirth,
To be here to welcome Him back to the Earth.
