A stony hart

by Silver Gryphon
 Age Group: Adult

Twas the mid of a worm midsommers night. As I looked to a full and amber moon. With honor and admoration I was bathed in the mothers sight. To her I prayed that she would deliver me from an unending gloom.
I asked her to guide my feet. For twas a new path that I hath saught. My life then my life was bitter sweet. And all the good dun for others no happyness for me twas bought.
My life was to help and surv the world. This was all I was and all I knew. The hope for my own hart had become quite blered. But in truth what els could I do.
And in time my hart grew cold as stone. My life slowed to an unhappy still. My mind aged as The Crone. And my body still unknowing a feminin thrill.
So to The Goddes I prayed well into the night. I felt as though she was at my side as to her I did pray. I rested beside a tree emursed in her loveing light. So I spoke till i said all I had to say.
Months gone by still I was alone. But I payed it no mined. In no way had had my fridged hart grown. However still I wondered if a love I would fined.
Sevin days befor the harvist's end I met a yung lass. And with her beautiful eyes I was amazed. Her energy did make me gasp. As we spoke my harts hope razed.
Then we were together and it was an awesome thing. In knowing her I am was awe. To hold her hand made my hart sing. In my time with her, she has taught my hart to thaw.
Befor we met, her hart was a broken thing, she sed. And mine was stone and ice. She sed that her hart I did mend. As she freed mine from apothie's vice.
But as the wheel always turns All things must change. When love wanes, and passion nolonger burns The hart let's loos it's rains.
So once more I set foot on a lonely road As she finds a new love after me. Her lessons I will always hold And my hart shal now be free
