Waiting In the Wind

Waiting In the Wind (c)
Stillness of the leaves…
The shrill flow of the wind,
Through the Autumn eve’s dark night…
The wind blows steadily…
Leaves scatter endlessly across the ground;
Dancing methodically around me in circles…
I stand simply waiting...
My trench coat blowing against-
The wind answers as if challenged….
I gaze off distantly…
Hoping…waiting till I see you…
Coming home into my open arms…
I long to whisper…
How much I have missed you,
and then hold you close again!
My arms grasp air…
The sun now gone I turn-
Around for your not here… anymore…
Author's Notes: I find it interesting for it starts out nature wise, and ends up becoming something else.... Hope you enjoy, and by all means please feel free to comment! I except both positive, and negative feed back with a side of curly fries. lol
