Freedom

I feel so cold…
So alone….
The rain sheds tears,
For the scars I’ve atoned….
When you are alone-
There isn’t sun…
No chance of hope,
no one to lean on;
So I frown….
I feel so cold…
So alone….
The rain sheds tears,
For the scars I’ve atoned….
I can’t leave here;
This hollow tragedy-
It is faiths death…
I start to mope for it’s-
Much worse now…
I feel so cold…
So alone….
The rain sheds tears,
For the scars I’ve atoned….
Making no sound now;
I huddle alone…
My voice now broken;
I fall to the ground-
My final round…
I feel so cold…
So alone….
The rain sheds tears,
For the scars I’ve atoned….
My mind is so heavy-
Yet I’m strong!
Carrying my burdens alone;
I smile for you all-
Grinning not making a single,
little, sad sound…
I feel so cold…
So alone….
The rain sheds tears,
For the scars I’ve atoned….
with you all now here;
With me now…
You help me find-
Strength and you make me…
Feel it’s worth sticking around;
Freedom was found…
Author's Notes: I think someone said it best that words cut deeper then any knife, and that if we were to see the inside of us we might see our scars and those of others as well....
We all carry Scars; are crosses to bare, our shames, our guilt's, are happiness.... Each one is etched into our being.....Who we are is a result of them.
Any way.... To me this poem is about redemption, and finding away out of the dark, or rather finding something worth holding onto....
