For Heaven's Sake

Age Group: Adult
Her pretty head was filled with so much space.
Everything she learned, she never learned shame.
The Holy Bible was thrust in her face.
She read the stories but it never set her aflame.
She was always a free spirit at heart.
She was always up for helping people,
and ready and willing to do her part.
Never even had to see a steeple.
She was told that she worshipped the devil,
that her religion wasn’t good enough.
She made sure that she kept her head level.
The people around her made her life rough.
The stake was put up and the fire set.
A non-God believer, death you shall get.
