I see your eyes in these old pictures
Remeber how they used to fill me
I see your lips in these old pictures
Remember how they used to kill me
No resistance no restraint
Remeber how I used to paint
Those little pictures on your back
My brittle heart begins to crack
Crumpled blankets and messy hair
You never would let me go down
You'd take my hand and put it there
In our sea of lust we'd leap and drown
You always hoped you'd touch my soul
But never knew you did
And how I wish that you could know
But I just ran and hid
And you've moved on and found a man
Forgotten all about the boy
Until one day you pass him by
And the memory of a memory shines a little light again
Author's Notes: There was a woman. She was with a man. She was also with me. It was messy. It ended badly. It was a long time ago.
