Lament of the Wanderer

Bright Wanderer, you've traveled far
Seen many strange and distant stars
Between the Worlds your paths have led
Yet among the Fair you no longer tread...
Staff and cloak wait your return
The tower watchlight shall ever burn
But Wanderer, now thou art lost
And I must grieve with moon and frost....
Author's Notes: I know this echoes Tolkien, and it is deliberate. I've always enjoyed his verse, whether it be the riddle of Strider or the Elvish hymn to Elbereth. I suppose one could even make the case of this being about one of the lost Blue Wizards, about whom little is known save their names.
