The Witches' Church
by Hoosier Hedgewitch
Age Group: Adult
Come with me one and all
to the Witches’ church,
among the oak and maple trees, jasmine, poppies, birch.
You will not sit on wooden bench,
no stained glass will be found.
You’ll find a spot upon a rock
or even on the ground.
Ancient mysteries from above,
the moon, sun, stars, and sky.
Feel the presence of the One
the wind goes passing by.
Our choir members don’t line up
from all over town.
Instead you’ll hear them singing
wearing feathers for a gown.
Holy hymns are surely heard
coming from the trees.
All create a sacred song
backed up by bumblebees.
Service starts at anytime
not only Sunday 9 or 10.
Who will give the sermon?
An owl, a frog, a wren...
No guru there, no words of hate.
Only love is found,
Feel the One we’re all part of
While planted on the ground.
