A Beltane Story; for Children
The God and Goddess are seen by man in many ways. We come together at Beltane to remember and celebrate their union which brings life unto the world.
Beltane, May 1st, is a celebration of spring, new beginnings and refreshed love for life. We come to this joyous time as if we are attending a wonderful union, like a marriage celebration or wedding. For we are. We have come to be a part of the joining together of the Goddess and God, now seen as our Lord and Lady of the spring.
The God again youthful being reborn at Yule is traveling among the stars feeling bold, strong and wild. Sees walking upon the Earth the Goddess again a young and beautiful maiden.
Across the veils of times as the horizon holds the rising and setting of the Moon and Sun. In the twinkling of an eye, they see each other. Their love for one another is rekindled as it was in the beginning of time. New their desires blaze across the sky in a burst of colors glittering down.
We as in the times of old, celebrate the joy of their finding each other, and their union of love. For we understand that the Goddess and God are equal and their balance protects the world. They are all life.
Our Goddess is the womb of life. The Mother of all; plant, animal, beast and fowl as well as human. Forever and always.
Our God is the fertilization of life. The father of all, the seed of all on the Earth or in the air. Forever and always.
A courtship is now a wedding. We celebrate with the Beltane or wedding feast for the God and Goddess. The God and Goddess now brought together, by their union have the promise life - the fertile land and all its fruits......
