Take Me Home

Can't you see,
What life means to me?
It means pain,
But ecstasy,
In love...
Freedom comes,
Residing in me.
All I need now,
Is to forget you...
You were lost,
In the dark...
I found the light,
And showed you through,
With love...
What once was two,
Is now one,
A blend of pain,
And love...
What is love,
Without pain?
Few know...
Freedom lies,
Within love...
Now I know,
Love isn't pain.
We love so much,
It hurts...
Love thyself,
Thy true self...
Love for what,
Takes you home.
Author's Notes: This is pure feeling. I have recently taken a trip of self-discovery and soul-searching. What I came up with is, quite simply, love. I know it sounds a little cliche. This poem has many different meanings to me, and I'm sure many more to others. To give it a set theme would not be beneficial to the poem itself. It could be about two lovers, someone rising above situations in their life, or possibly someone finding what makes them happy. There are so many more meanings, I feel if I go on rambling like this, it won't invoke feelings that are yours and only yours. I hope you liked it! Blessed be.
