Mead of Poetry

Take the offered cup and say
thank you for the blood I drink.
Much better than all the wine
is mead of meter and verse
Author's Notes: Obviously based on Norse mythology. Lately, I've just had Norse mythology on the brain. I could never figure out how to expand this or use it as part of something else. It's just been an orphan fragment sitting in my notebook.
