Prophecy (Osiris)
by Joshua Perz
Age Group: Adult
The great ruler of the two lands,
Osiris dies by his brother's hands.
He journeys from his wooden tomb
to find the center of the earthen womb.
Taking the scepter, he plants the seed
that will blossom in times of need.
In our darkest hour will come the light
to lead us through the cold and night.
For now in the darkness we must sit
until the day the flame is lit.
Author's Notes: I wrote this the other day for use on Samhain.
