Persephone

Persephone dwells within the gloom
thinking of light and silent doom.
Taking the scepter, she wears the crown
that is light in the darkness, the seed that is sown.
She sits in her chair, but she is the throne,
on her rests the eye, both husband and son.
Author's Notes: A companion to the Prophecy (Osiris) poem. Persephone and Osiris are my main goddess and god images for Samhain.
