At the Crossroads

Hekate, goddess, bearer of light,
I stand on the crossroads this Samhain night.
I seek the path that will lead me from
uncertainty and night in days to come.
Walk before me, light my way,
teach me what to do and say.
Come, Hekate, for I am your child.
You are my mother, I am your son,
you bring the light, you raise the sun.
You are the portal through which all must pass,
you bring us our birth and our death at last.
You are the grave and the earthen tomb,
you are the birth and protecting womb.
Guide me, Hekate, for I am your child.
Teach me to live, teach me to die,
show me where the true path lies.
I am lost this night, I cannot see
the way that is prepared for me.
Lift your torches, hold them high,
show me the truth, expose the lie.
Help me, Hekate, for I am your child.
I see your torches, I run for you,
but you always remain a step out of view.
But the way is clearer, the path is marked,
every step is a light in the dark.
I blow my horn and create a din
in praise of Hekate, my highborn kin.
Thank you, Hekate. I am you child.
