The Ancient Sacrifice

Age Group: Adult
On the tree is Odin hanging,
head immersed in Mimir's well.
Wounded by a spear, he's bleeding
to complete the sacred spell.
In Chthonic depths he wanders
to find the secret of the runes.
Long it seems his spirit ponders
in the silence of the tomb.
From the tree he has risen.
In his hall now tall he stands.
Odin god of grimmest visage
gathers wisdom from every land.
