Phoenix Writhing

I am angry my spirit risen
I feel wrath as strong as Ares
I am a daughter of Kali
I am the Phoenix Writhing
Strength born of Rage and Fury
Of patience and kindness
Power born of Love
Witch and Woman
You have burned to ground
writhing in the agony of a too painful
life
only to rise up through ashes and
walk the path of pain again
You do not change the past
Gaining strength in the history
of your life
Always facing forward
I honor the Gods and Goddesses
My Pantheons are many
I am alive in the Flame and the Wind
Anchored in the Earth
As the waters temper me
I take comfort in my role
I am healer and giver
Warrior and Sage
Teacher, student and Child
I am born and die
The Phoenix Writhing.
Author's Notes: This has been my strength, been using phoenixwrithing for over a decade now and its something people always give a nod to, tell me its befitting but only recently after introspection did I really connect to the nature of what had chosen me. I bore this name and nature so long with out recognizing the importance of my mantle. Sage is the name i have worn since firt walking the pagan path. I am honored to be named so.
