Lord of All

Listen to the sound of weeping
Hear the way the cold wind wails
Sad the trees and roses drooping
As the strength of great Baal fails.
He has died in voracious fighting
Eaten by the death god Mot
His broken body lies here bleeding
The earth laps up his pooled blood.
Anat prepares herself for battle
She can do what no one can
Death himself dies in her raging
She brings Baal back from the dead.
He is felt before the seeing
Hope and joy return at last
The earth finds comfort in his raining
The mountains echo with his blasts.
