Perfect in My Eyes

I stand gazing upon the memories we had shared on the
crystal surface of the water.
I never see my reflection within the river of hopes and dreams because the reflection isn't my own; it is of HIM, the man I had once loved ever so dearly.
Within the distance I hear earthly chimes that bring forth such familiar and fond apparitions of you and I dancing so very close and ever so gracefully as two souls becoming one.
The wonderful aroma of mint and an intoxicating scent of roses linger on the wind taking me back to the days we were one.
Imagine, what would happen if we should ever meet....
Would we even recognize one another?
We were very happy together like two innocent children exchanging beautiful roses.
I have shown him my vulnerability and my devotion but so very silently while I slumber I dream of him so innocently.
No matter, he is still perfect in my eyes.
