The Fae Tree

As we wait beside the lake at dusk
We know that visits from the Fae are a must,
My Sister and I wait on bended knee
The beloved Fairy's to see,
We have left the offering by the Fairy tree
After our Ritual by the lake, Kay and me.
It's beautiful twisted branches raise to the sky
It welcomes the Goddess by and by,
And in the welcome to the Goddess
We feel the love directed also toward us,
There is also love for the Fae
We feel it so strong, me and Kay,
And our Ritual by the lake today
Has touched us in a new special way,
So dear Fairy Tree
We will not forget thee,
We will return to visit you and the Fae
And we sisters will be together the same way,
So as we walk away, Kay and Me
We say "Good By" to our blessed Fairy Tree.
Author's Notes: I wrote my first poem several years ago when taking my grandson out to play at the park. I then realized that it was easy and very enjoyable to write poems. Usually my poems are from life experiences.
