Spiders who could fly

Spiders Who Could Fly
As I look toward the waterfall,
The sun hangs low in the sky
And the most beautiful miracle of all
Is seeing tiny spiders fly
By the hundreds, maybe thousands,
On sparkling little threads;
They fill the sky on silver bands,
To their new homes they are lead.
They have nothing to wait for
As they leave the place they land;
We may not see them anymore,
For they leave their silver bands.
But for awhile they flew as if on wings,
Not caring anymore
That they left behind others who will sing
Of the spiders who could fly.
