The Day We Met

Before I met you, I was always in a depression.
The the day I met you, everything changed.
You brought joy and love into my life.
But, someone else brought that all down.
Bringing darkness into my life once again.
All that hard-work, was for nothing you said.
I said otherwise. But that broke my heart in 2.
I knew then and there that you were just a heartbreaker.
With my heart in 2 pieces, I turned in on myself.
Becoming the bitch everyone named me.
You didn't like it, seeing me that way.
But you laughed along with everyone else.
Laughed until you saw my anguish, my sorrow & my hatred.
Thats when you changed your ways.
Knowing that was the only way to save my life.
My life was important to you.
You took charge of my life to make sure that I lived.
Taking charge of my life was the way you found joy.
You shared your joy with me helping me through my darkeset and most final hours of my life.
Yet that all changed the day we met...
Author's Notes: This poem, The Day We Met, is actually dedicated to my ex-fiances, Will Stevens and CJ Miller, they are Wiccan. but this was written when we had first dated and then we broke up, and we never got back together. Single life is for me it looks like. I'll keep it that way until the right guy comes along for me.
