I Walk Alone

Age Group: Adult
Life has been hard,
with no signs of the sweet
Life is not a bed of Roses,
but only weeds at my feet.
The sun never shines brightly
and sunsets lack luster.
Sorry to have been born am I,
I can’t cut this living muster.
Is death a release,
or just another obligation?
Does happiness really exist,
or is it just an illusion?
Illusion’s a concept,
that I can never attain.
If this statement is true,
what then remains?
Alone I travel with so many questions
Alone I exist with much reservation
This was predicted a long time ago.
That I would forever walk life alone.
Author's Notes: In learning about myself, I have discovered that through my writing, I have finally found a way to deal with the harsh reality called "Life". I have also found that through my writing and sharing, I don't walk alone anymore.
