Age Group: Adult
Where marks to fall
the coloured hue
where place imbue
the twilight flew
and danced upon the marvel,
wherein it found
Death had harbored its own sound
Echoed out in the flight of years
disdain written, the dreadful tears
that gather where the air does hang
where once a song lingered, sang.
The lines that lay upon the hand
The old trees know well this pain
the circles of cycles upon their vain
that dresses deep the simplicity of life
the mourning shawl, the weeping strife
that all foments upon the way full years
where age regrets the pledged tears.
