The Unmarked Path

Age Group: Adult
The unmarked path curls
Around trees and shrubs giving
Way to her beauty.
The Mistress of Night
Stands in a clear grove, regal
And so elegant.
Full moons silvery
Beams are fully absorbed
In black smooth fur.
Silver collar, an
Ankh and a pentagram each
In different ears
Adorn her royal
Body. She is changed in
This new, foreign land.
Gentleness is her
Key. She uses her kindness
To reveal the truth.
Above flies her half,
The Hunter, Morning Eagle,
In his dominion.
The vast sky reaches
All, touching the world from his
Feathery wing span.
The sunbeams reflect
Sparkling off his golden plume
Showing his brilliance.
Golden rings cuff his
Talons, etched in them, the ankh
And pentagram each
By itself. His claws
Are cleaned and polished ivory,
Proof of royalty.
Contrary to false
Beliefs he is kind and fair
In all cites of life.
They are old yet new
In this world of momentum,
Ever changing place.
They represent the
Annual seasons and change
In everyone’s life.
