what a tangled web we weave,
telling all our lies.
we decieve ourselves and everyone else.
when the truth would set us free.
why wear all the masks,
when our own faces mean so much more
than the empty shell of some masquerade.
we learn that the world is man against man,
rather than being brothers working toward a cause.
we kill each other because of race, creed, or religion,
although all that matters is in our hearts.
peace will never come while we knife our fellow man,
but when all bury their hatchets, the peace will never end.
Author's Notes: i couldn't think of what to call it... if you can think of a good name tell me please. and as always feedback is definately appreciated.
