Inner Peace

Sunlight streams through the window -
Its radiance refreshes my soul.
A breeze ruffles the sheets and dances in my hair,
Carrying scents of paradise on its gentle waves.
Birds sing sweet songs of daisies and freedom,
Giving me wings to uplift my heart;
A smile, a spirit at rest,
PEACE, such a soft carress.
Author's Notes: About those rare mornings when you wake up after a wonderful night's rest with the sunlight peaking through, a breeze blowing that causes your hair to tickle your face, and the smell of breakfast that's waiting in the other room.
