Stargazing

The sky melts above me
Ink trickling down my back
Falling in splotches on my hair,
My arms
Thick black droplets
Congealing in my throat
Choking me
The sky crawls inside me
Stars pinch and burn
Explosive dust flecks
White-cold against the midnight flood
I'm lost
The curb
In front of my house
Hot beneath my feet,
Rough,
I'm lost
Tangled in the silk myths
Connecting my memories
Star-fireworks spark
Through the rosy haze and I
Burn
I burn and drip
Spangled shadows
While above him,
The sky melts...
