My Back Yard

My Back Yard
Should this pleasure be mine,
to see this glorious sky divine?
Oh, should this pleasure be mine,
to see the trees and blooming vines?
What a glorious sight to see
the golden green upon her leaves.
What a treasure she shows me
as her silken arms dance in the breese.
There is another so tall and vast
as she withres in a burgandy cast.
She sings a song of wisdom and grace
as she slowly declines from her growing race.
There is another so thick and brittle
hiding a shead behind her loving hands.
She smothers it with her arms of blooming crystal
yet lets it breath through her greening bands.
They all sing a song simotaniously,
that tells a story of life and luxury.
Oh, should this pleasure reach my ears,
to hear the song of nature’s tears?
