Secrets

Secrets
I remember her sweet cry.
Mother Earth, the pain, why!
Her trees were gone,
Though the roots were strong.
Replaced with dirt, and concrete.
Then the noise, and metal screeched.
I cried, my tears fell down.
I remember that desparate sound.
She told me secrets, in the rain.
She said, “Life and pain.
It is all one in the same.
for in death is birth and change.
I live around you, through you,
inside you, above you, below you.
I am in the air you breath,
the wine you drink.
I live among the stars, the breeze.
And in the earth, and streams.
My Son’s fire, gives life to thee.
My fruit is nurishment to feed.
I give these things to you,
A gift, to be your tools.
For within these things,
you will discover your wings.”
