Here is Where I Want to Be

HERE IS WHERE I WANT TO BE
(FIRST VERSE)
You hold me in your arms
I look into your eyes
I feel your breath on my cheek
I hear your gentle sighs
It’s all I can fathom
To be with you in this place
Because at this moment
All I feel is sweet surrendering grace
(CHORUS)
This is where I want to be
A place to set my spirit free
In this place, I can hear the music
I can feel your song
Here is where I want to be
There is no other place for me
A simpler calmer place of peace
I have yearned for for so long (AFTER LAST VERSE CHANGE: I knew we’d come rest here all along)

Have you ever found a place on this Earth
Where it makes you forget all past hurt
You look over the water
So clear and so blue
Wildflowers everywhere and
Mountains with glorious views
It is here that butterflies dance
And playful deer come to prance
It is here I first felt your song
And I know it’s where I belong

Life goes on and so do we
Many things we will surely see
Some of them good
Some of them bad
But we will treasure the life we had
We’ll promise each other in our last days
We will go back to that special place

Author's Notes: My husband and I visited the Russian River in California last year in October. I have very fond memories of it. It was so very beautiful. I wrote this song about my feelings and my love for him.
