In Love With A Catholic

I have recently started dating a guy that I have known since I have been 13. We haven’t seen each other in five years, but it is like we have never been a part. We are in love and talk about the future a lot. He knows that I am Wiccan and it doesn’t bother him. He is Catholic and is very much into his faith. That is not the problem. I don’t mind that he is Catholic. That is his decision of faith. The problem is, is that this is the man that I am going to marry some day and when we do have children I don’t want there to be a battle about what they will be. I want to raise my children Wiccan until they are old enough to decide if that is the right path for them. I don’t in any way want to put down his faith, but I used to be Catholic and it didn’t work out for me. I love him and would not do anything to hurt him. I just want our children to be able to know the path of Wicca. Since I have converted I have a new found respect for faith and everything around me. I am just at peace so much more now that I have found Wicca. When I was little, I never felt right going to Sunday school and church. There was always something missing. I could never really get into what the teachers were talking about. It just seemed a little far fetched for me. I started to explore Wicca in high school and decided that it seemed like the right path for me. Before I found Wicca I felt very alone and even thought about ending my pain for good. After I found Wicca and read the Rede I stared thinking of everything as a whole. And now that I am in love, he is part of my whole. They will be our children, but I just don’t know how we will handle the decision of what our children will be. I want them to be Wiccan and I am pretty sure he will want them to be Catholic. I just don’t want them to grow up confused. I don’t believe in the concepts of Catholicism and he doesn’t believe in the concepts of Wicca. We both believe in our love and we don’t want to be with anyone else. We have never felt this way before. We are they only ones that we want to be with. So I guess that we will cross that bridge when it comes. Our love will make it through any decision that we will have to make. Our love will get through anything.
