Celebrate Samhain
by Moon Dragon
Age Group: Adult
The moon is bright, this Samhain night,
And the veil is growing thin,
We form a ring, and dance and sing,
Celebrating departed kin.
It is the night, with second sight,
As those we love come through,
Arms open wide, we welcome inside,
All the people that we knew.
It's Autumn's song, the nights grow long,
As the year comes to an end,
Do not weep, the Earth goes to sleep,
The last harvest we attend.
The God departs, as Winter starts
To return with the blessings of Yule,
Each celebrates, as the Goddess waits,
Samhain night grows dark and cool.
So stop a while, remember and smile,
All those who have gone before,
Life is a ring, from death comes spring,
As it will be forever more.
