Larry, the Fairy

Age Group: Adult
There once was a fairy,
Who's name was Larry,
Who liked to fly around.
His girlfriend, Carry,
Gave him a berry,
The plumpest she had found.
Now this fine young fairy,
Who's name was Larry,
Ate it all in one big bite.
And his girlfriend, Carry,
Shook her head at Larry,
'Cuz he was sick all night.
So if you meet a fairy,
Who's name is Larry,
And he's looking rather ill,
Just remember and smile,
He's been sick for a while,
'Cuz he ate more than his fill!

Author's Notes: My son was learning about poetry in school, and he needed poems from 4 different poets, and then to write one on his own. So, I wrote a poem for him, and he used me as one of the 4 poets he needed. This is the poem he used.
